Therapeutic Approach

I primarily practice Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.  IFS is an evidence-based model that understands we all have different “parts” of ourselves. Some parts protect us and others carry pain from old wounds. IFS holds that at the center of every person is a core Self that remains undamaged and serves as a source of calm, compassion, and wisdom. In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you connect with your parts from that place of Self, so you can heal, find more balance, and respond to life with greater clarity and compassion.

I also bring in EMDR when it’s helpful, especially for trauma that feels stuck. Both approaches are process-oriented, which means the goal isn’t quick fixes but deeper change that lasts.

In sessions, we often slow down, notice what’s happening in the moment, and create new ways of relating to yourself. I strive to show up authentically and without agenda, following the wisdom of your inner system. If things ever feel stuck, I’ll name it and we’ll get curious together about what’s happening.

How I Work With You

As human beings, we heal through connection. When we feel truly seen and heard, we gain more clarity and confidence to navigate life. In our sessions, I offer that connection and also help you strengthen it within yourself. This often translates into healthier relationships, whether with your partner, your children, your work, or your friends.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with adults who may appear strong and capable to the outside world but are struggling inwardly. Many of my clients identify as:

  • Highly sensitive adults (HSPs) who feel easily overwhelmed

  • Professionals managing high-functioning anxiety or depression

  • Adults diagnosed with ADHD later in life

  • Trauma survivors or those with attachment wounds

  • People stuck in cycles of self-criticism, people-pleasing, or self-doubt

  • Individuals who feel unseen, unheard, or undervalued in their relationships

  • Those using unhealthy coping behaviors (such as food, substances, overworking, or overthinking) to manage stress

“One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own.”
